Product Reviews
THC Medstrips have arrived and they are amazing
THC Med-strips are like the Listerine breath strips you buy at the supermarket, except that each one of these comes loaded with 625mg of wonderful THC. The label claims these strips will be effective, discreet and convenient and Med-Strips deliver big-time.

Here is the breakdown:

Purchased in West Los Angeles, California
Cost: $10/ea. Or three 2-packs for $50.
Flavors available: Mint and Cinnamon
THC Content: 625mg per strip (a 45x sucker is 600mg)

The ups: Smoke free, could not be more convenient or discreet, actually packs a punch (especially if you take two at a time), excellent for the purse or wallet for those emergency times when you must get medicated

The downs: These are a little thicker than Listerine strips. When they dissolve, they turn into a little glob of goo in your mouth. That’s not so nice. Also, some might not like them because they abandon the natural wholeness of dried cannabis.

The rest: The taste is decent and about what you might expect. Like putting a nugget in a wad of spearmint gum and chewing it..
Description
After hot-knifing through countless plastic milk-jugs and filling empty buckets, swim decided to take the plunge and invest in a reusable, spill-less gravity-bong with a glass slide.

Specifics
With more ease than ever, gravity can pull smoke through a stem via the pressure changes involved in running water. A carb on the side makes it possible for titrated dosing, as well as resh air exchange to dilute hits. The water can also be alloted intentionally on the small side to control the size of hits and rate of consumption. Very easy to use, cool to watch, and also relatively good at conserving burning material, as none is lost directly to the atmosphere under a constant vacuum.

1.Fill your Gravity Vortex up with fresh water. New water should be used each time, and drained after the party is over. To fill the unit up quickly, turn the valve to the vertical position. Put the mouthpiece of your Gravity Vortex under a stream of water. The water will go in as long as the carb hole is not covered, collecting in the bottom chamber.

2. Turn the Gravity Vortex upside-down to drain the water to the top-chamber. Close the valve by turning it horizontal. Now the water is suspended in the top chamber.

Get ready. This is where the fun starts.

3. Insert the glass bowl into the opening inside the mouthpiece. Add the smoking substance of your choice.

Turn the handle vertical and light the product. The flame should be sucked down into the product, burning the product. At this time you are trading the space of water in the top chamber for smoke. Once the smoking product is lit, take off the flame and let the Gravity Vortex roast the hit for you.

The top chamber is now filled with a water-filtered gravity hit. Now it's smoking time.

4. Remove the bowl and inhale. The smoke is smooth like a vaporizer so you won't burn your lungs. It is recommended to use pipe screens (12,7 mm) with your Gravity Vortex. This will help keep the downstem cleaner.

5. Turn the Gravity Vortex over to drain the water back to the top-chamber. Close the valve by turning it to the horizontal position.

6. Go to step one and repeat until satisfied.

SMOKERS TIP: If you are looking for the most massive smoke possible, use the carb hole to slow down the water flow.

Pros

    * Durable. Can be tossed around and kicked about when empty.
    * Provides thick, cloudy hits
    * Temperature can be easily controlled using different temperatures of water
    * Relatively inexpensive, compared to glass bongs
    * Looks neat/fun to operate

Cons

    * Gets dirty quickly
    * Small, dripping spills are frequent

Conclusion

A nice piece of equipment for the avid smoker to use on special occasions or when looking to ingest large amounts in small hits, though not an everyday pipe. The Gravity Vortex is a quality companion to other smoking devices, but has a limited range of overall uses due to its concentrated hits and high minimum consumption.

GRAVITY VORTEX Bong

Rolling a Joint

Rolling a joint is easy, rolling a perfect joint also, if you put a
little bit of time in it.
Making a normal Joint is simple. I can only give some advice about it.

Make sure you spread the tobacco good. A bit more at the end than in the beginning and almost the same width as your paper. Just a thin layer of tobacco. Put your weed in a line in the middle of the tobacco. This way, when you start rolling, the tobacco falls around the weed and your joint will burn perfectly.

When closing the paper is no problem for you, its smart to let
the roach stick out a little bit a leave a little gap between the roach and the tobacco. This way you will have no tobacco under your roach. When your ready rolling you can push the roach in.
Making a Super joint
A Super joint is the hardest one to make because its to
big to hold in your hands. That's the only problem to it. When your rolling a lot of your tobacco-marijuana mixture will fall out. Just roll above a table and let it fall out. The only important thing is that you close the paper good, you can put the mixture back in later.

One thing that can help is that you close first one piece
of paper, the one in the beginning of the Joint. after that you can close the other one.

Tips

Tip: If you put down your tobacco, spread it a little bit so
if you start rolling your Joint, it will fall around your marijuana and burn it better.

Tip: Get some good quality Rolling paper and make sure
your roach isn't to narrow. Its nicer to make it a little bit wider. Makes the smoking nicer.

Tip: I never put weed at the end of the joint because I don't like to smoke the end, now I can throw it away.

Tip: When your ready rolling the joint, tap it a few times
on the table so it gets a bit more tight. It will let your Joint burn better.

Smoking Weed in Amsterdam:
A Tourist's Comparison of Coffeehouse

THE KOP (2006)

Takeaways:
Smoking weed in Amsterdam should be a safe experience. Use common sense.
When Smoking weed in Amsterdam, the Bulldog coffeehouse is the McDonalds of Smoke-shops. If you are smoking weed in Amsterdam, head to Abraxas for a very trippy experience.

Are you planning a trip to the Netherlands?
Are you thinking about smoking weed in Amsterdam?

With weed shops, better known to Amsterdam natives as coffeehouses, all over the city, one can hop from weed shop to weed shop all day long for two weeks straight and still not see them all.

So where does THE KOP go when smoking weed in Amsterdam is on my agenda?

Here is a comparison of three major weed shops in Amsterdam that I visited while traveling through there.

Bulldog Coffeehouse:

The Bulldog chain of smoke/coffee houses is well established and renowned, but to make an accurate analogy to describe the aura of the coffee shops, the Bulldog is like the McDonalds of pot smoking spots in Amsterdam. In other words, tourist central. If you want to stick out as a tourist and pay high prices at the same time, go to the Bulldog. On the other hand, there are some benefits to their corporate-esque status that actually might make it a desirable place at the right time for the right person when it comes to smoking weed in Amsterdam. The Bulldog, aptly named after the owner’s favorite canine companion back in 1975 is expanding all over the continent and the objective is to promote universal legalization. So at best, you can at least feel good that some of your money may very well be going to a worthy cause. If you are in the heart of the Amsterdam commercial area, try to go to the Bulldog coffeehouse located in Leidseplein. This location is considered the main headquarters, or the “Bulldog Palace” and was built in an old police station that the Bulldog owner used to spend lots of time in. One area even has a trippy black and white trademark jail motif, fit with the original black iron jail cell bars. It is also very nice because you can opt for pleasant, outdoor seating, as available.

Abraxas Coffee shop:
The Abraxas Coffee shop was by far the best and most populated with natives as opposed to a swarm of tourists. This was the ultimate smoking environment if I ever could imagine one. Swirly abstract murals on the walls, glowing stars on the ceiling with a giant globe on the wall. The locals and staff members call this the Chill room. Words cannot describe the intense energy that could be felt in this room of Arabian couches, trippy videos on a big screen, and a general attitude of “oneness” among all of the patrons. There wasn’t much interaction between parties and the place didn’t seem like a real good place to try and strike up a conversation with a stranger, but that’s not because it was cold, it is simply because everyone seemed to be absorbed in their own exploration of their mind and bodily sensations, as affected by the smoke. Abraxas is becoming more and more popular and commercial as the years pass but at one time it was a true Amsterdam native’s best kept secret. It is just around the corner from the downtown, Dam Square area, but one might easily miss it if walking around sightseeing like a tourist. Another American who was squatting in Amsterdam for a few months introduced us to it. Great environment, and not to mention decently priced, extremely potent hashish and marijuana. And free Internet now, I hear.

Old Church Coffee Shop:
This smoke joint is hit or miss. And there’s really no way to gauge the trends in order to go at the perfect time, you just have to get lucky. But if you get lucky, you’ll be extremely pleased, for this coffee shop is a great place for tourists who don’t wish to act like traditional tourists. You know, those of us who like to pretend we’re as cool, as “chill” as the locals but really we’re trying to hold back shouts of joyous glee when in any close proximity to some good, legal bud. We try to act calm, but let’s face it; this is really an amazing place. Well Old Church let’s you acknowledge that without making you feel like a tool. It is located in the Red Light District and has nice outside seating arrangement. It is very conducive to socializing and meeting other travelers, unlike many of the other local coffee shops and the staff members are very patient and friendly. The weed and hash are also known to be consistently above par.
No matter what coffee shop you choose to visit when smoking weed in Amsterdam, be sure to use your common sense and take it easy. Chances are, you’ll be spending at least a couple of days in the Amsterdam area, so choose the way you spend them wisely. If smoking two joints of hash will obliterate you and render you immobile for the following four hours, you might want to limit yourself to a few hits at once and toke a little here and there throughout the day. Or maybe you are smoking weed in Amsterdam as your main form of entertainment and primary motivation for this particular vacation. In that case, find a nice coffee shop where you feel comfortable, and smoke away. Either way, when smoking weed in Amsterdam, be safe and exceed moderation with caution. Eventually, I presume, at some point, you may want to go back home.

THE KOP had a very tough time leaving the freedom and  toleration of the people of  mother-land to come back to our own oppression in the States. I sincerely hope that each and everyone of you reading this review, considers a trip to a place that may harbour a real democracy. Something we are losing today in the USA.

PEACE

VOLCANO VAPORIZER

How is the Volcano Vaporizer different from all other herbal vaporizers? Well, if you can’t see that it is different then maybe you should stop reading now. For starters, it is shaped lke a…Volcano! Shocking isn’t it? Many box-type vaporizers like the original VaporBrothers vapporizer use a tube with a receptacle for the herbs making them two part units. The Volcano is also a two-piece design, but the people at Storz-Bickel have done things a little differently. Using a box-type vaporizer takes practice. Drawing speed makes a difference in how much heat the herbs are subjected to. This in turn means that sometimes too much heat can be created and thus smoke. The Volcano takes all of the guesswork out of the vaporization for you. Digital control makes sure that your tobacco or herbs are vaporized at the proper temperature and that all of the vapor is captured using an ingenious bag design. Basically it is a sport bottle top with a turkey bag attached. The vapor will last in these bags for a while, but fresh is always best in my experience.

So, what is the skinny on the Volcano Vaporizer? It is the highest tech, coolest looking, and most functional of all of the herbal vaporizers on the market today. I have used many of the vaporizers on the market today and from days gone by. The VaporBrothers, Vapor Warez, Vapor Doc, Vapie, BC Vaporizer and some that I can’t even remember. Everyone seemed to have their own take on how to build a vaporizer. After all, many of these vaporizers are home-grown products that have been dreamt up in people’s minds and built in their garages. Many of them are still proven designs and work well for many years. I still have a VaporBrothers vaporizer that works like a charm. The Volcano Vaporizer however is in a league of its own.
